Markham Street Parkette

FFLA worked with the Mirvish Village Business Improvements Association, neighbourhood community and City of Toronto departments, facilitating community consultation for a new parkette circulation, layout, furnishing, decorative screen, custom bike racks and lighting options for community comment and selection. FFLA completed concept drawings and renderings, and conducted community consultation. Construction is planned for 2022. New benches, decorative paving, perennial planting areas, pedestrian lighting and bottle filling station will be implemented. The parkette will facilitate increased pedestrian and bicycle traffic that will be generated by a large residential and commercial development directly to the south, which will bring more people to and from the adjacent subway station, Bathurst Station.
