Sauble Beach Square

The vision of the Municipality of South Bruce Peninsula guided the retro themed concept for a community plaza and performance space at the beach.  Forest and Field with architectural lead, MJ Architecture, developed a flexible open space complete with a stage and amenity building set under a colourful spaceframe structure that hosts a look out tower and giant slide reminiscent of past bold moves at this family oriented beach town tourist attraction.  The plaza will be sheltered by local natural limestone embankments and plantings.  There will an abundance of seating and shade as a refuge from the adjacent sunny beach on the shores of Lake Huron on the Bruce Peninsula.
