This 1000 sq.m. playground renovation was designed to meet the Child Care and Early Years Act Licensing standards, enhancing both functionality and compliance. The reimagined layout ensures even distribution of play areas, clear sightlines, step-free access, and seamless connectivity from indoor spaces.

FFLA provided end-to-end services, including design drawings, City of Toronto Forestry and building permits, and contract administration. The space accommodates infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, with amenities like diverse play surfaces, sand areas, painted tracks, chalkboards, and transparent panels. Custom storage and stroller sheds enhance practicality.

To address sun protection, the design incorporates two polycarbonate shade structures and retractable awnings, offering effective UV shielding. This project successfully delivers a vibrant, accessible, and regulation-compliant outdoor environment tailored to the needs of multiple age groups.
